Gunnison Gorge, Colorado, July 22-23, 2006
click to enlarge I went kayaking with my friends Trish and Levi in the Gunnison Gorge, just few miles south of Olathe, Colorado. It is a magical canyon and access is not as easy as a typical boat ramp. We put-in in Chukar Trail. It is about a mile of narrow, mountain trail to get to the river so we hired one of Larry's horses to transport our kayaks. The inflatable kayaks are heavy and we still had all our camping gear to haul.

This is a second "scouting" trip to the Gunnison Gorge so I can see if we can develop this trip as one of our official offerings through Colorado Discover Ability, where I volunteer.
